Chicago Chevrolet Dealers Think Aveo Rs Concept Could Be A Fit For The Big City

Like a lot of people my age, I graduated college, got my first job and immediately moved into the city. Don’t get me wrong; the suburbs are rather charming in their own right. But there comes a time in any young professional’s life when he has to get out of the house and go where the wind takes him. The city has been a fantastic place, and, until recently, I’ve been taking public transportation to get around.
Public transportation is pretty convenient, and best of all, it’s cheap. But at some point, when I got a little older and had the means, it started feeling silly cramming myself into a tiny el train with a bunch of people shoved together. Now that I was making enough money, it seemed like the time to think about buying a car, so I took the train down to my Chicagoland Chevy dealership.
I actually started out at a Kia dealership, where I heard there were a lot of low price range vehicles that would offer me the best functionality I could find for the price. But I just couldn’t find a vehicle that was going to suit me; they were affordable and great for city driving, but the style just didn’t seem to be “me.” I had always thought that Chicago Chevrolet dealers were the kind of places you would find enormous SUVs and overrated sports cars. But I was wrong.
Someone told me, since GM went under, that Chicago Chevrolet dealers are starting to change their focus from big expensive cars to small, affordable and fuel-efficient ones. And one of the cars that is leading the way in changing the image of Chevrolet is the Aveo, a well styled subcompact that offers surprising room and wonderful fuel economy for buyers. Ask any Chicago Chevy Aveo driver: this car’s got a lot to offer for such a tiny package.
The 2010 Aveo is perfect for city driving, especially in commutes. Let’s be honest: finding parking around the city of Chicago is a tedious, stressful task. If you don’t want to shell out the extra $20 for a parking garage, then you have to find something on the street, which is about the equivalent of finding a needle in a haystack. Then, once you find a spot, you have to make sure it’s big enough for your car. Lucky for me, the Aveo blows the rest of the cars on the street out of the water when it comes to size. Parking is a cinch whenever I’m driving around downtown.
Driving out of my Chicagoland Chevy dealership, I could immediately see what all the fuss was about. Okay, so the Aveo isn’t the best handling car on the street and certainly doesn’t offer the smoothest ride. But the fuel economy is excellent, it’s functional and it’s a very small car – so it pretty much does everything that I need it to do. Oh, and it’s stylish too, which is pretty key when I’m picking up a date or headed to an important business meeting. As a Chicago Chevy Aveo driver, I’m pretty happy with what my car can do.
